Outreach
I am a highly experienced workshop andva qualified teacher with a PGCE in Music, and I am deeply passionate about ensuring every young person has the opportunity to experience live theatre. Over the past decade, I have worked extensively in theatre outreach, delivering high-quality, imaginative workshops and performances to thousands of children across the UK.

I have co-written and delivered shows and workshops with Clonter, including Papageno’s Quest, which toured to the Just So Festival and the Edinburgh Fringe, and Puck’s Adventure. These projects have introduced countless children to opera, performance, and singing through playful storytelling and interactive music-making.

As workshop deviser and leader for English Touring Opera’s ETO Perform programme, I travelled to secondary schools nationwide, guiding students through the world of opera. Each workshop explored the company’s current production, included a practical singing session, and culminated in students creating and performing their own new ending to the opera.

For the past several years, I have been an instrumental part of Mid Wales Opera’s outreach programme, bringing opera-based workshops to primary schools throughout Wales. Thanks to new funding, we expanded this programme and successfully rolled out the extended workshop this Autumn. One teacher remarked:
“The transformation we witnessed was extraordinary — our pupils went from not even knowing what opera was to confidently explaining a recitative and performing their own piece with tremendous gusto!”

In 2025, I performed in English Touring Opera’s brand-new children’s opera The Vanishing Forest, and in 2026 I will join the cast of their new production, Ada and the Crusaders, touring primary schools across the country.
Whether through performance, singing, storytelling, or creative devising, my mission is to make opera and theatre accessible, inspiring, and unforgettable for young audiences everywhere.
